Poll: 47% of avid golf fans 'strongly oppose' PGA Tour-LIV merger

Among fans who follow pro men's golf very or somewhat closely, 47% strongly oppose the PGA Tour's merger with LIV Golf, according to a study conducted on Tuesday by research firm Civic Science. The poll was conducted among adults 18+ in the U.S., with 1,270 responses.

Just 21% of those who follow pro men's golf very or somewhat closely strongly support the move. Among those who were hardly or not at all fans of men's golf, 63% strongly oppose the deal, while just 8% strongly support it.
