Whistle Sports' Jeff Urban Talks Company's Progress, Future Plans

JEFF URBAN has a history of building brands. The longtime Gatorade exec co-founded Whistle Sports in '10 and for the last seven-plus years has been building that content company into one of the most highly-engaged sports entertainment networks. Urban yesterday visited the SBJ/SBD headquarters in Charlotte and met our editorial staff. Afterward, he sat down with Exec Editor Abe Madkour to discuss the vision behind Whistle Sports, its progress so far, plans for the future and how it balances the needs of creators, athletes, leagues and brands. Finally, Urban talks to Madkour about trends he is watching in the sports business and the overall sports content space.
