Moving to Virtual

A Year of
Agility | Adaption | Amplification

This year’s Esports Rising will be transitioning to a one-day virtual event on Thursday, November 19th. Sports Business Journal and TEO are committed to bringing you the latest developments during this unprecedented time.

The global pandemic has put the sports world on hold with one notable exception: Esports. According to NewZoo, in 2020, Esports encompasses a global audience of 485 million and an estimated $1.1 billion in revenue. And unlike other sports, many esports stakeholders have been able to pivot amid global uncertainty.

With so much to analyze and so many scenarios to plan for, joining SBJ and TEO for the 2020 esports rising conference has never been more imperative. This year, we will closely examine the current state of esports but will look beyond to see how stakeholders can be positioned for future success.

Each year the conference has drawn over 300 industry executives from all segments of the industry, who discuss, debate and share insights in an effort to move the industry forward.

We’ll announce the speakers and agenda in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned!

Here's What They're Saying

"Speaking at Sports Business Journal's inaugural Lagardѐre Sports esports Rising conference was extremely worthwhile. The event was one of the best I have attended for content, networking, and overall presentation. I feel like there were about 200-300 new sets of ears in the room from the traditional sports, venue, events, and media spaces, and I found each personal conversation an opportunity to educate or learn. I look forward to attending another Sports Business Journal event soon."
Justin Dellario, Vice President, Global Esports, Twitch

"There are many conferences that profess to be "the esports conference" and an epicenter of esports industry knowledge and learning. However, few even come remotely close to the quality and content that SBJ was able to put together in the first year. Bringing together the quality of speakers and attendees SBJ did is not only an impressive feat, but also great evidence that this is a must attend conference in the subsequent years to come."
Sebastian Park, Vice President, Esports, Houston Rockets & Clutch Gaming

"SBJ put a stake in the ground when it hosted its first esports-focused conference ("esports Rising"), and the caliber of panelists and attendees combined with their collective enthusiasm about esports created a proof of concept that others will surely follow.  esports Rising offers a tremendous opportunity to hear from and interact with practitioners and experts from every perspective within the sports, media, and entertainment ecosystem, and to really understand both how esports is impacting that ecosystem and vice versa."
Ari Segal, CEO, Immortals Gaming Club (IGC)
