Cleveland Power of Sport Summit focuses on DEI

Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland today hosts the second day of the Cleveland Power of Sport Summit, a wide-ranging exploration of sports’ role in increasing diversity, equity and inclusion amid the NFL Draft festivities. Speakers so far in the three-day conference have included Haslam Sports Group CEO Dee Haslam, DAZN Chief Communications Officer Nancy Elder and NFL Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Jonathan Beane. Today’s topics include an exploration of women’s unique challenges in sports, how Gen Z will change sports and a historical appreciation of the “Cleveland Summit” gathering of elite black athletes in '67. Most of the event can be viewed virtually here. The event was created and developed by the Browns, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Velocity and The Female Quotient.
